There are many things you can do to support your local shelter other than in-shelter volunteering.

Check out our Wish List, and coordinate a donation drive in your community.

Organize a bake-sale, dog wash, or other fundraiser.

Raise awareness in you community by inviting our Shelter Relations Assistant to speak to your organization, promote spaying and neutering, be an animal advocate in legal/political issues, and be a responsible pet owner yourself.

Educate yourself about the history of domestic animals and their relationship to us, and then spread your new-found knowledge to help us combat rampant myths about pets (like the myth that Pit Bulls bite people more often than other dogs...they don't by the way).
