How Do I
Become a CMHS Volunteer?
Fill out an application (download
the word file - click here) and turn it in at the
shelter. The Shelter Relations Assistant will contact
you with the next available orientation times. Volunteer
orientations are held in the evening and last about
2 hours. You may begin volunteering after you have completed
orienation.
The training manual will be handed
out at orientation. The one on the
website does not have current information, so I am updating
it as we
speak.

Current Needs:
We need volunteers to help take animals
to KOMU TV studio to be featured on the "Pepper
& Friends" show. Animals are transported in
the morning, Monday thru Friday. The studio is located
on highway 63, south of the Nifong/ AC exit.
We also need volunteers to take lead roles in our special event program. These volunteers would take charge of small events that include adoptable animals and information on responsible pet ownership.
