April 2008

Walk a Hound, Lose a Pound. The exercise walks will take place on the Bear Creek Trail, with participants meeting first at the Humane Society office at 616 Big Bear Blvd. There will be four sessions of Saturday walks during the spring and summer as follows:
Session 1: April 5-26
Session 2: May 3-24
Session 3: June 7-28
Session 4: July 12- Aug. 2
There will be three time slots available at 8, 9 and 10 a.m.; choose one or all three. Those who participate in the program will receive a program T-shirt and be given the option to participate in a study of the benefits of dog walking. April 4th-7th, 2008 - Brickwall Film Festival
The Brickwall Film Competition is a locally produced, 48 hour film contest that will, hopefully, bring together local independent filmmakers who enjoy their craft. Proceeds other than marketing costs, venue costs, and prizes will be donated to the Central Missouri Humane Society. Screening 7pm @ Deja Vu on April 7th. Click here for more information.

Rabies shots - $15
Microchips - $25 (offered by CMHS)
City licenses will being sold as well.

A wine and canine extravaganza for us and our four-footed friends! No perfect pedigrees necessary here - just come on out and have fun. Proceeds benefit The Central Missouri Humane Society.
